Election News for Primary Candidates

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak revised procedures for filing petitions for the June 2020 Primary Election have been established.  Please note that no changes have been made to the due date.  Petitions are still due before 4:00 p.m. to the Borough Clerk.  If you are filing electronically, please follow directions given in the links below.  When finished please scan all documents and email them to swilliams@fpboro.net prior to the deadline.  If you are dropping them off, please leave them on the table in the vestibule at Borough Hall in the box provided for petitions which will be clearly labeled.  This box will be at the Police entrance.   Below are the links that provide information on the process.  If you have any questions please email Borough Clerk Sheila Williams at swilliams@fpboro.net.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING PRIMARY ELECTION BALLOT DRAWINGS:

S1982 passed the Senate and requires the ballot position draw for primary elections to occur one day early if statutory date falls on holiday.  Since the ballot drawing for positions falls on a holiday this year, the ballot drawing for positions will be conducted on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 3 pm.  The bill also requires that clerk’s “shall post a notice of the change of date and time in the clerk’s office and on the clerk’s official website at least by three o’clock 60 days prior to the primary election.”
